Mahwah, NJ:  The #22 SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 today at the Athletic Center. The Knights improved to 2-0 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 0-2 overall.
 
The Knights took a 1-0 lead in the 7th minute (6:58) of action in the first half when Hannah Sullivan was able to convert on a Knight corner kick and Halyee Eversten hit the back of the net for the early lead. Juliette Frischmann collected a long pass from Nicole Bell and was one on one with the keeper as she put the Knights up 2-0 in the 30th minute (29:02) of action. Frischmann tallied Geneseo's third goal of the game late in the second half off an assist inside the 18-yard box from Liv Raucci to push the lead to 3-0.
 
Geneseo led with 23 shots, 11 on goal while Ramapo tallied five shots and one on goal. The Knights also collected all nine corner kicks in the game.
 
For the Roadrunners, 
Emma Conlan recorded eight saves in the game. Angel Bennett earned the win in the net for the Knights, she posted one save in 84 minutes of action. Mollie Collins worked the final six minutes of the game and did not need to make a save.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, September 8th when they travel to Western Connecticut State University for a non-conference game at 2pm.
