Oneonta, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team fell in a tough five-set match to SUNY Oneonta tonight. The Red Dragons (1-0) came away with a 3-2 (25-16, 22-25, 25-20, 14-25, 15-10) non-conference victory.

The Roadrunners (1-0 overall), who won the second and fourth sets, were led by
Ashley Pichardo who recorded a team high ten kills and two blocks.
Stephanie Ross added seven kills and three aces while
Riley Stewart collected six kills and two blocks.
Caleigh Golabek recorded a team high seven aces while
Aniella Bednarz posted two blocks in the match.
Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out a team high 20 assists while
Hannah McTighe added 11 of her own.
Emma Moran led the team on defense with 18 digs while McTighe posted nine and
Amanda Fatouh collected six. Ramapo collected 36 kills on 129 attempts in the match.

The Red Dragons were led by Caitlin Christie and Ashanti Davis who put down 18 and 10 kills respectively while Davis led the team with seven blocks. Kayla Rende dished out a match high 34 assists while Annalisa Alicea (13) and Rende (11) led the team on defense. Oneonta tallied 42 kills in the match on 131 attempts.

Ramapo returns to the Bradley Center on Friday, September 3rd when they host Muhlenberg College in a non-conference match at 6pm.
