Mahwah, NJ:  Ramapo College Athletic Director, Harold Crocker, announced today the appointment of Bridgette Quimpo as the Senior Woman Administrator for the Roadrunners. Quimpo has been a key member of the Ramapo staff for the past eight years and has a wealth of experience as both an administrator and coach.  She joined the Ramapo staff in November 2013 as head softball coach and transportation coordinator. 
 
"I look forward to being an advocate for our student-athletes, coaches and staff and serving as a role model, mentor, resource, and support for our department," Quimpo said.  "I would like to thank Mr. Harold Crocker and Vice President Chris Romano for this opportunity. I appreciate their belief in my abilities to take on this role." 
 
Quimpo has been working in athletic administration for 18 years. Prior to her time at Ramapo College, she spent time as an Athletic Academic Advisor at New Jersey City University. There, Quimpo worked directly with the Senior Enrollment Management team to maintain student groups while gathering data/queries on graduation rates, individual and team grade point averages, and retention rates. Quimpo would then analyze the data and come up with solutions.
 
"My goal as the SWA at Ramapo is to find solutions for anything that may arise by being objective in finding fairness and equality for each specific task," Quimpo added.  "I look forward to being an advocate for our student-athletes, coaches and staff and serving as a role model, mentor, resource, and support for our department."
 
The role of SWA is responsible to promote meaningful representation of women in the leadership and management of college sports.  Quimpo will provide both men's and women's teams with support if any issues should arise.
