Lancaster, PA: The Ramapo College men's swim team competed at the 2021 F&M Invitational this weekend hosted by Franklin & Marshall College. The team placed 6th overall and recorded 538 points in the three-day meet.
Spencer Hughes placed 7th overall in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:11.44. while
Josh Templeton placed 8th overall in the A-Final of the 100-yard freestyle when he clocked in at 47.35 seconds. Templeton also placed 7th in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:44.73.
Emile Eeckhout finished 8th overall in the A-Final of the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:08.95 while he also placed 6th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 58.33 seconds.
The 400-yard freestyle relay team made up of
Chris Lee,
Benjamin Gomez, Templeton and
Matt Liedtka placed 10th overall with a time of 3:14.41. Individually, Liedtka clocked in with a time of 21.97 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and Gomez placed 7th overall in the 100-yard butterfly in the A-final in 52.50 seconds.
The 200-yard medley relay team placed 11th overall with a time of 1:38.02. The team was made up of
Devin Alejado, Eeckhout, Gomez and Templeton. The 200-yard freestyle relay team clocked in with a time of 1:28.18, the team was made up of Templeton, Gomez, Alejado and Liedtka. The 400-yard medley relay team placed 6th overall in 3:31.71 in the A-final. The team was made up of Alejado, Eeckhout, Gomez and Templeton.
The Roadrunners will return to action on January 13th when they host Rowan University in a NJAC conference meet at 12pm.
