Hackettstown, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team defeated Centenary University (NJ) on the road, 86-53. The Roadrunners improve to 2-0 overall while the Cyclones even their record to 1-1 overall.
Bridget Cahill finished 8-10 from the field including 4-5 from beyond the three-point line and 6-6 from the free throw line. She also recorded two steals, one assist and four rebounds.
Olivia Johnstone added 12 points while
Shannon Burns tallied 11 points in the game.
Alie Wickersheim grabbed seven rebounds while
Jada Thompson pointed nine points, three assists and a team high four steals and eight rebounds. The team shot 43% (29-67) from the field, 52% (10-19) from the three-point line and 69% (18-26) from the free throw line in the game. They collected 44 rebounds and forced 18 Centenary turnovers.
The Cyclones were led by Jessica McKenzie who tallied ten points and eight rebounds. Taylor Bossert and Molly Collins each added nine points while Salma Eddahrir and McKayla Mooney each collected six points. Centenary shot 32% (18-55) from the floor, 14% (3-21) from the three-point line and 73% (14-19) from the free throw line.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, November 16th when they host John Jay College at 5:30pm.
