RAMAPO VOLLEYBALL FALLS AT GWYNEDD MERCY TRI-MATCH

Gwynedd Valley, PA:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team fell in two non-conference matches today at a tri-match at Gwynedd Mercy University. The Roadrunners now stand at 5-11 on the year.
 
Match One:
Moravian hit .363 in the match with 45 kills on 91 attempts and 12 errors. Kirah Dreisbach led the team with 14 kills, four aces and 12 digs. Renee Mapa posted nine kills while Sela Herber added eight in the game. Natalia Matos recorded a match-high 35 assists while Gabby Mancini collected 12 digs on defense.
 
Aniella Bendnarz and Caleigh Golabek each posted four kills in the match while Caleigh Golabek tallied a team high three blocks and Alexandra Sacchinelli posted a team high 11 assists. Stephanie Ross led the team with ten digs while Grace Kim posted six during the match. Ramapo posted 17 total kills in the match on 75 attempts and 15 errors.
 
Match Two:
Host Gwynedd Mercy recorded 34 kills in the match on 104 attempts and 13 errors. Aybria Purnell posted 11 kills while Ashley Brown added nine in the game. Purnell also led the team with four blocks while Bridget McTamney dished out a team high 27 assists. Ashley Morris led the team on defense with 22 digs while Bridget McTamney posted 16 and Lauren Yancer added 11 during the match.
 
Ashley Pichardo posted seven kills to lead the team on offense while Golabek recorded six and Kim tallied five kills during the match. Sacchinelli dished out a team high 20 assists while Ross led the way on defense with 17 digs while Kim posted 15 digs on her own.
 
Ramapo returns to the court on Tuesday, October 12th when they travel to Hunter College for a non-conference match at 7pm.
