Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

RUTGERS-CAMDEN SLIPS PAST RAMAPO IN OVERTIME, 2-1

Camden, NJ:  The Rutgers-Camden University men's soccer team scored a goal in overtime to defeat Ramapo College 2-1 in NJAC action. The Scarlet Raptors move to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 6-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the conference.
 
Ian Bialey scored a goal off a pass from Christian McCartney in the 29th minute in the first half to put Rutgers-Camden on the board, 1-0. Rutgers-Camden outshot Ramapo 11-2 in the first half while they recorded all six corner kicks in the half.
 
Ramapo would tie the game when Osbin Mendez tallied his first goal of the season in the 62nd minute to tie the game, 1-1. The score would hold the rest of the half sending the game into overtime. The Scarlet Raptors' Skyler Diggs recorded the game-winning goal in the 94th minute of action to give Rutgers-Camden the 2-1 NJAC victory in overtime. Ramapo held a 10-2 advantage in shots in the second half
 
Rutgers-Camden held a 14-12 advantage in shots in the game including 8-6 on goal. Ramapo's Joshua Schaffer posted six saves while Connor Smith tallied five saves for the Scarlet Raptors.
 
Ramapo returns to action when they host NJAC rival Montclair State University at the Athletic Center Turf Field on October 13th at 4pm.
