Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University Red Hawks defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-20, 25-12 and 25-18) tonight in NJAC women's volleyball action. The Red Hawks improve to 11-7 overall and 4-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in the conference.

Two Red Hawks posted double-digit kills in the match tonight as Carly Waterman led the way with 12 and Leah Higgins posted ten. Delaney St. Pierre recorded a team high in both aces (6) and assists (39) while Waterman led the way on defense with ten digs. Skylar Kowalski recorded four blocks while Higgins tallied three. MSU hit .313 in the match with 48 kills on 96 attempts and 18 errors.

Aniella Bednarz recorded seven kills in the match to lead the Roadrunners while
Ashley Pichardo and
Emily Shea each posted six and four kills respectively.
Alexandra Sacchinelli led the team with 13 assists while
Hannah McTighe posted seven of her own.
Stephanie Ross led the way with eight digs on defense and
Amanda Fatouh posted seven.
Caleigh Golabek and Shea each recorded two blocks in the match. Ramapo recorded 22 total kills in the match on 69 attempts with 11 errors.

Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 9th when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy University for a tri-match. They will take on Moravian University at 12pm and the host Griffins at 2pm.
