Mahwah, NJ: The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2021 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday afternoon. This is the highest total in Association history, it marked the second consecutive year achieving the 8,000-plus plateau. NCAA Division III led the way with 2,375 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2020-21.
Eight members of the 2021 squad earned NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors:
Avery Bartolomeo,
Nicole Cerasi,
Cassie D'Anton,
Carli Egan,
Megan Giesecke,
Melody Gleason,
Carley Layton and
Anna Messina. The Roadrunners finished the school year tied for 73rd across NCAA Division III schools with a 3.52 Team GPA.
