Union, NJ: The #3 ranked Kean University field hockey team posted a 2-0 win tonight over NJAC rival Ramapo College. The Cougars remain undefeated at 13-0 overall and 1-0 in NJAC action. The Roadrunners see their three-game win streak snapped as they move to 9-3 overall and even their conference record to 1-1.
Kean got on the board in the sixth minute in the first quarter (5:40) with a goal from Lia DiPiazza, her fifth of the season. Ja'Carra Jackson posted her third goal of the season in the 18th minute during the second quarter. Her third goal of the season extended the Cougar lead 2-0.
Ramapo recorded four shots on goal to Kean's 16. The Cougars also posted 12 penalty corners while the Roadrunners recorded three.
Michelle Kukan recorded a season high 12 saves in the game for Ramapo while she faced a total of 25 shots. Jenna Flemings recorded four saves in the game for Kean and faced seven total shots.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, October 13th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC game at 7pm.
