Galloway, NJ:
Jane Wagner of the Ramapo College women's cross country team won the 2021 NJAC Women's Cross Country individual title this afternoon. The Roadrunners placed fourth overall with 92 points.
Wagner won with a personal best time of 23:46.9 and she is the first woman in program history to win the individual title. Along with teammate Chris Andersen who won the men's NJAC Title, this is also the first time in program history the team swept the individual men's and women's crowns.
Suzanne Zaugg crossed the finish line second for the team and 14th place overall in 24:48.3.
Safiya Ratliff placed third for the team and 21st overall with a time of 25:12.4 while
Zoey Cassavell was fourth for the team and 23rd overall in 25:29.1.
Kacy Ewing scored for Ramapo crossing fifth for the team and 33rd overall with a time of 27:45.8.
The NJAC announced the All-Conference team at the Championship Meet. Wagner earned NJAC Runner and Rookie of the Year along with NJAC First Team All-Conference, this is her first major post-season honor of her career. Zaugg earned NJAC Second Team All-Conference, also the first post-season honor of her cross country career.
Ramapo returns to action at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships hosted by Rowan University on Saturday, November 13th at Dream Park in Logan Twp., NJ. The meet begins at 11am.
