Galloway, NJ: The Stockton University women's volleyball team posted a 3-1 (25-13, 18-25, 31-29, 25-25) NJAC win tonight over Ramapo College. With the win, the Ospreys improve to 13-16 overall and 6-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 6-15 overall and 1-7 in the conference
Stockton won the first set while Ramapo won the second set before pushing the Ospreys in the third set. Stockton came away with the third set win, 31-29 before taking the fourth, 25-15. Teleya Witherspoon tallied a team high ten kills while Emma Capriglione and Jaylah Rolle each collected eight kills for Stockton. Aubrey Rentzel posted team highs in aces (4) and assists (34) while Sophia Marziello led the way on defense with 14. Stockton collected 46 kills in the match on 126 attempts and 23 errors.
Ramapo was led by
Caleigh Golabek who tallied ten kills while
Stephanie Ross and
Grace Kim each posted seven in the match. Ross and Golabek also led the way with two aces each while
Hannah McTighe posted a team high 19 assists.
Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out 17 assists while Ross posted 22 digs on defense to lead the team, a season high.
Emma Moran posted eight digs and Kim added six in the match. The Roadrunners posted 39 kills in the match on 126 attempts and 32 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 30th in the final regular season matches of the season when they travel to College of Mount Saint Vincent for a tri-match. They take on John Jay at 12 and host Dolphins at 2pm.
