RAMAPO EARNS PAIR OF 3-1 WINS OVER JOHN JAY & CMSV

Riverdale, NY:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned two wins today on the road to wrap up the 2021 season. The Roadrunners finish the year at 8-15 overall with a pair of 3-1 wins over John Jay College and host the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent.
 
Match One:
The Roadrunners defeated Johan Jay (25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 25-15). Grace Kim led the team with nine kills while Aniella Bednarz and Caleigh Golabek each collected seven kills. Kim also posted a team high in aces (3) and digs (14) while Riley Stewart collected a team high four blocks. Alexandra Sacchinelli and Hannah McTighe each posted 14 assists in the match while the team collected 35 total kills in the match on 116 attempts and 21 errors.
 
John Jay (7-14 overall) was led by Amanda Marte and Rielly Catan who each posted eight kills in the match. Meghan Smith dished out a team high 34 assists while Kristin Gretener posted a team high 26 digs on defense.
 
Match Two:
Kim once again led Ramapo in a 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 21-25, 32-30) non-conference victory with 13 kills while Golabek and Stephanie Ross posted 11 and ten kills respectively. Golabek led the way with three aces and five total blocks while Ross posted a team high 23 digs on defense. Sacchinelli and McTighe split the setting duties with 16 and 14 assists in the match while Emma Moran posted 20 digs and Kim added 16. Ramapo tallied 40 kills in the match on 168 attempts with 21 errors.
 
CMSV (15-11 overall) were led by Samantha Schroeder with 17 kills while Rianna Rivera tallied 15 kills and Lindsay DeBoer added 14. Madison Gale posted 48 assists in the match to lead the team while Schroeder and Gale each led the team on defense with 19 digs.
