Ewing, NJ:  The #13 ranked College of New Jersey field hockey team earned a 2-0 win over Ramapo College today in NJAC action. The Lions move to 9-4 overall, 3-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 11-5 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
 
Following other NJAC results from the day, the Roadrunners clinched a seed in the 2021 NJAC Tournament for the first time in program history. The bracket will be released following the completion of regular season conference play.
 
Ramapo held the Lions in the first quarter before TCNJ got on the board in the second quarter. Following a penalty corner, Sophie Popp took a pass from Jess Hatch to put the Lions up 1-0 in the 27th minute (26:29). In the third quarter, Kayla Cichlar earned the assist on Mia Lanzilotta's goal to push the Lions ahead 2-0.
 
Dani Britton posted two saves for TCNJ in the shutout win while Michelle Kukan tallied five saves for the Roadrunners. The Lions posted 15 shots to Ramapo's eight while TCNJ held a 9-5 advantage in penalty corners.
 
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 27th when they travel to Moravian University for a non-conference game at 5pm.
