Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey men's soccer team defeated Ramapo College in a key NJAC game today at the Athletic Center, 1-0. The Lions improve to 8-7-1 overall, 4-2-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners move to 7-7-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the conference.
Justin Dominique scored the game-winning goal in the 20th minute (19:58) and Ryan Phillips earned the assist to put the Lions up 1-0 during the first half. Ramapo recorded ten shots in the first half to TCNJ's six while the Roadrunners earned four corner kicks.
During the second half, the Roadrunners posted 11 shots while TCNJ posted one. Ramapo also held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks in the second half. In the game, Ramapo goalkeeper
Joshua Schaffer posted six saves while Julian Franco tallied nine for the Lions to keep Ramapo off the board.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 23rd when they travel to New Jersey City University for a NJAC game at 1pm.
