Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team played host to the Scarlet Raiders of Rutgers Newark today as they posted a 1-2 loss. With the loss, Ramapo now stands at 0–8-1 and 0-3 in the NJAC. With the win, Rutgers Newark stands with an overall record of 7-2-1 and 1-2-1 in the conference.
Ramapo would get on the board first at 36:20 when Sam Ingannamorte hit the back of the net collecting her second goal of the season. The goal was assisted by Carla Goodwin. Rutgers Newark responded just over three minutes later when Bailey Kellenberger dished a ball to Ava Dul to tie the game at 1-1. The score held until the halftime buzzer.
In the half, the two teams each collected six shots while Ramapo's Emma Conlan made four saves in net. Katie McLaughlin made two saves for the Scarlet Raiders.
Kellenberger would give the Scarlet Raiders the lead at 63:42 off an assist from Sabria Glasgow to lead 2-1. The score held until the final buzzer as Rutgers Newark led 6-0 in shots in the half. Conlan made two saves and McLaughlin went untested in the half.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 9th when they host Rutgers Camden at 1pm at the Athletic Center.
