Ewing, NJ: The #1 ranked College of New Jersey women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 5-0 today in NJAC action.
The Lions (13-0, 7-0 NJAC) tallied three goal in the first half. Gianna Coppola scored (7:13) the first goal for TCNJ and Sofia Alves scored the second (29:57) while the third goal went into the back of the net on an own goal. TCNJ posted 18 shots in the first half.
Ivonne Vazquez posted back-to-back goals for the Lions in the second half to extend the lead 5-0. She scored in the 66th and 78th minute respectively while Lindsay O'Keefe and Rachel Robichaud each earned an assist. The Lions posted 12 shots on goal in the game and all five corner kicks.
Emma Conlan recorded six saves in goal for the Roadrunners while Alexandra Panasuk and Corinne Byrum split time in the net for TCNJ did not have to make a save.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 23rd when they host New Jersey City University for a NJAC game at 1pm. The Roadrunners will honor their senior class in a pre-game ceremony.
