Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team defeated Wheaton College (Ill.) 2-1 today in non-conference action at the Athletic Center Turf Field. The Roadrunners now stand at 7-6-1 overall while the Thunder drop to 7-4-1 on the year.
 
Massimo Gallorini took a pass from Thiago Stallhbaum in the third minute (2:31) of the game to put Ramapo on the board 1-0. The score held the remainder of the first half with Ramapo taking eight shots to Wheaton's three.
 
In the second half, the Thunder tied the game with a goal from Alessandro D'Argento in the 52nd minute, his fourth of the season for the 1-1 tie. In the 55th minute of the game, Massimo slipped Jonathan Junqueira a pass to score his second goal of the season and the eventual game-winner for the 2-1 lead. Ramapo held the Thunder the rest of the way to come away with the non-conference victory.
 
Each team collected 13 total shots in the game while Ramapo held a 10-7 advantage in shots on goal. Wheaton's recorded six corner kicks to Ramapo's three. Joshua Schaffer recorded six saves for the Roadrunners while Hasten Biddlecome tallied seven for Wheaton.
 
Ramapo honored their senior class in a pre-game ceremony, congratulations and good luck to Joshua Schaffer, Jonathan Junqueira, Kyle Barbosa, Louis Petrozziello, Antonio McFadden and Samuel Guttman.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 20th when they host NJAC rival William Paterson University in a conference game at 3:30pm.
