Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University women's soccer team earned a 3-0 NJAC victory over Ramapo College tonight at MSU Soccer Park. The Red Hawks improve to 8-4 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
The Red Hawks broke the 0-0 tie late in the second half with three goals in less than four minutes. Emmi DeNovellis scored her second goal of the season with 81:25 on the clock to put MSU up 1-0. Aileen Cahill took a pass from Emily DeGeyter (83:09) for the team's second goal of the game before Zoe Steck tallied her seventh goal of the year (85:11) off a pass from DeNovellis, extending the MSU lead 3-0.
Emma Conlan tallied a season high ten saves in the game. The Red Hawks tallied 24 shots including 13 on goal while the Roadrunners recorded three shots in the game and one on goal. MSU recorded six corner kicks while Ramapo earned two. Haley Martin and Lindsay Freewalt split time in goal for MSU while Freewalt recorded one save.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 16th when they travel to #1 ranked The College of New Jersey for a NJAC game at 6pm.
