Baltimore, MD: The Ramapo College women's tennis team competed at the two-day Goucher Invitational hosted by Goucher College.
Kassie Britt earned third place on Sunday with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Lily Tsomos of Harford Community College. Britt fell in her opening match on Saturday, 6-1, 6-1 to Pamaela Kontaras, the eventual champion, before she recorded back-to-back victories to take home third place in the Singles E round.
Melanie Brentnall posted two wins in the Singles B round. She defeated Hannah Gorel of St. Mary's 6-2, 6-0 before defeating Samantha Hoban of Rutgers-Camden in the third round, 8-6.
Melanie Colon-Leon posted a win during the Singles C play on Sunday, coming away with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Ellie Walter from St. Mary's.
Justine Gardella also collected two wins during Singles E action. She posted an opening round victory, 6-1 and 6-3 over Tsomos before defeating Bella Trimble on Sunday, 6-4, 6-4.
Ramapo returns to action on Monday, October 11th when they host Baruch College at 2pm in a non-conference match.
