Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team hosted a Skyline tri-match today at the Bradley Center featuring SUNY Purchase and Yeshiva University. The Roadrunners earned two victories today improving to 11-7 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
Ramapo 3, Purchase 0 (25-6, 25-10, 25-15)
The Roadrunners were led by
Andrew Finnegan who tallied eight kills in the match while
Jack DiGirolamo added five kills. The team posted six blocks while
Lucas Inglis had three aces and dished out a team high 20 assists and
Josh Titus posted eight assists of his own. The team hit .360 in the match with 35 kills on 75 attempts and eight errors.
Purchase (2-7 overall, 0-1 Skyline) was led by Jeremiah Hunt who recorded four kills while he posted five digs. Idris Idris dished out eight assists while Chris Posillico led the team with eight digs. The team recorded 11 kills in the match on 78 attempts and 23 errors.
Ramapo 3, Yeshiva 0 (25-8, 25-12, 25-12)
Against Yeshiva, the Roadrunners were led by
Mack Brower who recorded 11 kills and hit .429 in the match.
Sean Burke posted nine kills on 15 attempts as he hit .467 and recorded one ace.
Sean Flannery recorded seven kills while Inglis dished out 37 assists and
Simon Moeller recorded 11 digs. The team hit .442 in the match with 44 kills on 77 attempts and 10 errors.
Yosef Ajami led Yeshiva (2-7 overall, 1-2 Skyline) with three kills while Benjamin Goldstein dished out six assists. Steven Zelmanovich and Jonathan Apsan recorded two kills each. Derek Orenshein recorded five digs in the match. The team hit .034 in the match with nine kills on 59 attempts and seven errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Monday night when they travel to Skyline/NJAC rival New Jersey City University on Monday night for a 7pm game. This match will count as a Skyline Conference match-up.
