Newark, NJ:  The Rutgers-Newark University men's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-22) tonight in NJAC action. The Scarlet Raiders, who are ranked #6 in the most recent AVCA Top 15 Poll, remain undefeated at 13-0 overall and 2-0 in NJAC action when the Roadrunners now stand at 8-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
 
The Scarlet Raiders were led by Andrew Zaleck who collected 18 kills, four digs and one ace as he hit .414 overall. Arvind Kumar collected nine kills, five digs and one assisted block while Daniel Quay hit .500 in the match with six kills on ten attempts and just one error. Justin Tuohy dished out a team high 33 assists while he added seven digs, two assisted blocks and one ace along with one kill. Robert Long helped the team on defense with seven digs while he added five kills. Eric Hollenbach led the team with three assisted blocks while adding three kills. Rutgers-Newark hit .259 in the match with 42 total digs on 81 attempts and 21 errors.
 
Eric Van Thuyne and Conor Charlow each led Ramapo with eight kills in the match. Van Thuyne added one assisted block and one dig while Charlow led the team with one solo block and three assisted blocks. Tyler Plitt led Ramapo on defense with seven digs while Josh Titus dished out a team high 23 assists whie he added two digs, one ace and one block. Ramapo hit .181 in the match with 27 total kills on 72 attempts and 14 errors.
 
The Roadrunners will travel to Kean University on Saturday, February 29th when they take on Immaculata University at 12pm and the host Cougars at 2pm.
