Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team defeated Skyline/NJAC rival New Jersey City University 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-18) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 8-5 overall, 2-0 in the Skyline and 1-0 in the NJAC. NJCU moves to 4-4 overall, 0-1 in the Skyline and 0-1 in the NJAC.
Eric Van Thuyne led the Roadrunners with 12 kills on 25 attempts as he his .320 in the match. He added one ace and eight digs along with one assisted block.
Jason van der Wilt added seven kills while
Stephen Codispodo added six during the match. Van der Wilt led the team with four aces while he posted three digs and one assisted block while Cosdispodo added three aces, ten digs and one solo block.
Conor Charlow posted five kills, one assist, four digs and two total blocks including one solo block.
Tyler Plitt collected a team high 15 digs while
Josh Titus dished out a team high 27 assists. The team recorded 34 total kills in the game.
For NJCU, Jonathan Andrews led the team with six kills while Brandon DaSilva posted a team high two solo blocks and six assisted blocks. Leo Ferrari dished out a team high 12 assists while J. J. Berdecia posted a team high nine digs. The team tallied 13 total kills in the match.
Ramapo returns to action Thursday, February 27th when they travel to Rutgers-Newark for a 7pm NJAC conference match.
