Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team earned a pair of non-conference victories today over SUNY Potsdam 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-23) and Emmanuel College 3-1 (25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 25-18). The Roadrunners improve to 3-4 on the year.
Ramapo 3, Potsdam 0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-23)
The Roadrunners were led by
Andrew Finnegan who tallied nine kills in the match while
Conor Charlow added six kills and a team high seven total blocks. Charlow posted four solo blocks along with two aces and two digs in the match.
Josh Titus dished out a team high 23 assists while contributing with two blocks and seven digs and
Lucas Inglis posted 11 assists of his own. The team hit .267 in the match with 37 total kills on 90 attempts and 13 errors.
Potsdam (1-1 overall) was led by Zaire Rogers who recorded five kills while he also posted nine digs and six assists. Brendan Wall tallied four kills and four digs while Alec Roy led the team with nine assists. Keven Sanchez posted a team high nine digs while Saluhu Malam collected two solo blocks. The team recorded 19 kills in the match on 77 attempts and 18 errors.
Ramapo 3, Emmanuel 1 ((25-18, 21-25, 25-21, 25-18)
Against Emmanuel, the Roadrunners were led by
Eric Van Thuyne who recorded 18 kills and hit .483 in the match. He also recorded six digs, two blocks and one ace.
Jason van der Wilt posted 14 kills on 27 attempts as he hit .407, he also posted seven digs and one ace.
Stephen Codispodo posted 12 kills while Charlow added eight kills and a team high four blocks.
Tyler Plitt led the team on defense with eight digs while
Josh Titus dished out a team high 52 assists while he added five blocks and four digs. The team hit .348 in the match with 57 kills on 115 attempts and 17 errors.
Mike Momoros led Emmanuel (2-4 overall) with 18 kills as he hit .424 in the match while he also contributed with eight digs and three total blocks. Justyn Schueler tallied ten kills, two digs and one solo block while Gary Randall and Seamus McDonagh recorded nine and seven kills respectively. McDonagh posted a team high 29 assists with two digs and two total blocks while Roman Fabrizio collected 11 assists. Max Gottuso posted a team high nine digs on defense. The team hit .269 in the match with 45 kills on 104 attempts and 17 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, February 5th when they travel to John Jay College for a non-conference match at 7pm.
