Camden, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's basketball team came back in double overtime to defeat Rutgers-Camden University 77-74 tonight in NJAC action. The Roadrunners improve to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 4-8 overall and 1-5 in the conference.
 
The Roadrunners came back to tie the game 69-69 in regulation as 
Rob McWilliams connected on a jumper following a Ramapo timeout with 1:31 on the clock. Neither team would score in the final minute sending the game into overtime. Each team made just one basket in the first overtime period while McWilliams tallied a layup with 23 seconds on the clock to tie the game 71-71. Rutgers-Camden would get a three-point shot off in the final seconds but it did not go in as the two teams headed into a second five-minute overtime period. 
Jordan Zagadou and McWilliams tallied back-to-back baskets for the Roadrunners to give them a 75-71 lead before Arian Azemi sank a three-pointer for the Scarlet Raptors to come within one 75-74 with ten seconds remaining on the clock. Ramapo was able to grab the offensive rebound on a missed free throw as Battle was fouled sending him to the line with six seconds remaining. He converted on both free throws for a 77-74 lead before Rutgers-Camden drove the length of the court and got a three-point shot off from the hands of Azemi but it banked off the rim as Ramapo came away with the double overtime road victory.
 
Three Roadrunners scored in double figures as they were led by McWilliams who tallied 25 points including 10-18 from the field along with seven rebounds. Battle posted 12 points while 
Marquise Kindel and 
Connor Romano contributed with 11 and nine points respectively. Zagadou grabbed a team high eight rebounds while he added seven points. Ramapo shot 50% (30-59) from the field, 38% (7-18) from the three-point line and 47% (10-21) from the free throw line in the game. The Ramapo defense forced 18 Rutgers turnovers that led to 24 points for the Roadrunners.
 
Four players scored in double figures for the Scarlet Raptors. Isaac Destin led the team with 25 points and 13 rebounds while Azemi tallied 19 points and a team high six assists. Jake Petrik and Keysean Simmonds contributed with 12 and ten points respectively. The team shot 44% (28-63) from the field, 40% (10-25) from the three-point line and 72% (8-11) from the free throw line.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 11th when they host the College of New Jersey at 1pm at the Bradley Center.
