Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's swim team defeated Widener University this afternoon in non-conference action 174-88. The Roadrunners improve to 4-2 overall while Widener drops to 4-6 overall.
The 200-yard medley relay team placed first overall when they clocked in at 1:39.96. The team was made up of
Tomer Bachar,
Sam Cossaboon,
Josh Templeton and
Benjamin Kern.
Emile Eeckhout and
Spencer Hughes went 1-2 in the 1,000-yard freestyle event with times of 10:33.11 and 10:33.25 respectively. Templeton won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.91 while Hughes was third in 1:53.30. Bachar and
Noah Callahan went 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke with times of 56.12 and 57.50 while Eeckhout (59.15) and Cossaboon (1:00.87) placed 1-2 in the 100-yard breast stroke. Matt Lieedtka placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (23.02) while Daniel Adjedj placed third with a time of 23.05.
Chris Lee grabbed a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (50.46) while Templton finished in second with a time of 51.31. Bachar also grabbed a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:01.30 while Eeckhout and Cossaboon went 1-2 in the 200-yard breaststroke with times of 2:12.77 and 2:14.22. Hughes grabbed a first-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle when he clocked in at 5:05.19 while Callahan and Nicholas Bates went 1-2 in the 400-yard IM in 4:36.50 and 4:40.83.

Ramapo will host their final home meet of the season on Tuesday, January 28th when they take on William Paterson University in NJAC action at 6pm.
