ROADRUNNERS FALL IN TWO MATCHES ON THE ROAD

Babson Park, FL:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team fell in a pair of tough matches this afternoon to Webber International and Alvernia University as both matches were hosted by Webber. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-2 overall.
 
Webber International (1-0 overall) defeated Ramapo 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 20-25, 17-25) in the first match of the day for the Roadrunners. Stephen Codispodo led the team with nine kills while he added a team high four aces. Conor Charlow, Jason van der Wilt and Eric Van Thuyne all collected eight kills in the match while Charlow posted three total blocks. Josh Titus dished out a team high 32 assists while he added four digs, two aces. Tyler Plitt led the team on defense as he collected 11 digs. The team tallied 37 kills in the match while they hit .109 overall on 101 attempts and 26 errors.
 
For Webber, Daniel Hermida tallied a match high 20 kills as he hit .316 overall while he tallied a team high five aces. Zachary Ayala posted eight kills on 15 attempts as he hit .533 in the match with seen digs and one solo block. Chris Alvarez-Rivera collected a team high ten digs while Kyle Robertson and Tim Rouch split the setting duties with 17 and 15 assists respectively. The team hit .227 in the match with 41 kills on 97 attempts and just 19 errors.
 
Alvernia (1-0 overall) came back to defeat Ramapo in a tough game five as the Golden Wolves pulled out a 3-2 (25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 15-25, 18-16) non-conference victory. Van Thuyne led the Roadrunners with 20 kills while Charlow hit .667 in the match with 14 kills and four total blocks. Codispodo tallied 11 kills and seven digs while Plitt recorded a season high 25 digs on defense. Titus posted a team high 41 assists in the five-set match while he tallied five digs. The team hit .192 in the match with 55 kills on 146 attempts and 27 errors.
 
The Golden Wolves were led by Logan McGinley who tallied 16 kills while he hit .361 overall and Josh Stewart collected 14 kills with five digs and two blocks. Mike Monczewski dished out a team high 37 assists while Jon Demeter led the team with 14 digs. The team hit .193 overall as they recorded 49 kills on 135 attempts and 23 errors.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, January 22nd when they host Misericordia University for a 7pm match.
