Ewing, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's soccer team earned a 5-0 win over Ramapo College today in NJAC conference action. The Lions, who are ranked #7 in the country, improve to 8-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-4-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the NJAC.
Five different players scored for TCNJ in the game while the Roadrunners held them to just one goal in the first half. Nikki Butler collected a rebound off a shot from Nora Burdge and hit the back of the net for the eventual game-winner for an early 1-0 lead (4:50).
Lauren McLaughlin, Kelly Carolan, Caroline Rubin and Gianna Minerva each tallied goals in the second half for the Lions. TCNJ posted 41 shots, 17 on goal in the game while they recorded eight corner kicks. The Roadrunners posted one shot in the game and one corner kick.
Elizabeth Harvell recorded 12 saves in the net for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 2nd when they host Rutgers-Newark University in a NJAC conference game at 3pm.
