Mahwah, NJ: The Western Connecticut State University women's soccer team earned a 3-0 shut out over Ramapo College today in non-conference action. The Colonials improve to 4-4-1 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-3-1 on the year.
Nicolette Stocks tallied her first goal of the season off a pass from Skylar Jorge in the 7th minute of action to put WestConn up early 1-0. In the second half, Stocks assisted on the second goal of the game when Myah Croze posted her seventh goal of the season. Osheonna Israel tallied her first goal of the year off a pass from Kaleigh Panek to push the score 3-0.
The Colonials kept the Roadrunners off the board to earn the non-conference shutout victory while they earned a 19-14 advantage in shots, including 10-7 in shots on goal. Each team posted seven saves in the game while WestConn tallied seven corners to Ramapo's three.
Harvell tallied seven saves for Ramapo while Karly Martin collected six saves in 82 minutes of action while Natalia Redmond collected one save in the final eight minutes of action.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 28th when they travel to #7 ranked the College of New Jersey in a NJAC conference game at 1pm.
