Poughkeepsie, NY:  The #6 ranked Vassar College field hockey team defeated Ramapo College 4-0 today in non-conference action. The Brewers remain undefeated at 6-0 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-5 on the season.
 
Grace Amell (7:20) scored early in the first quarter for Vassar to put them on the board off a pass from Dara Studnitzer 1-0. The Brewers next two goals would come in the third quarter to extend the lead 3-0. Avery Bauman and Rylie Pope each hit the back of the next in the 43rd and 45th minute respectively. Stephanie Palma posted the final goal of the game in the fourth quarter (46:00) while Pope assisted on the final goal to push the lead 4-0.
 
Samantha Stolker tallied ten saves in the net while Emily Ricciardi and Clare Nugent posted defensive saves for the Roadrunners. Liz Rotolo collected three saves for Vassar while the Brewers held a 22-9 advantage in shots in the game. The Brewers also collected 22 penalty corners to Ramapo's nine.
 
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Delaware Valley University in a non-conference game on Wednesday, September 25th at 4pm.
