Hoboken, NJ:  The Ramapo College field hockey team dropped a tough match-up to the Ducks of the Stevens Institute of Technology, 0-1 on the road.  With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 3-4 on the year while the Ducks improve to 4-3.
 
The game remained scoreless until the 51st minute when Lynda Fairnella took a pass from Brynn Froehlich to take a 1-0 lead.  That would be enough for the Ducks as Ramapo led in shots but was unable to get one by the Ducks netminder.
 
Stevens finished the game with nine shots as Ramapo posted 13.  Emily Franco made five saves for the Ducks while Ramapo's Samantha Stolker blocked four in the 60 minutes of play.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on September 21st when they travel to Vassar College for a 1pm start.
