ROADRUNNERS PLAY TO 1-1 DRAW

Bethlehem, PA:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team posted their third tie of the season today as they played to a 1-1 double overtime draw with Moravian College on the road.  With the tie the Roadrunners now stand at 2-0-3 overall while the Greyhounds pick up their first tie of the season to stand at 4-1-1.

The first half of play went scoreless as the Roadrunners out shot the Greyhounds 9-1.  Rookie goalkeeper Noah Beverin went untested in the first half while Michael Bone made just one save.

Ramapo would come out of the gates on fire at the start of the second as they controlled play putting one in the back of the net at the 47:08 minute mark.  Joseph Fala would score his first of the season off a corner kick taken by Nick Petrozziello

In the 72nd minute, Moravian was awarded a questionable penalty kick as Anthony Nagy capitalized to tie the game at 1-1.  The two teams played the remainder of the second and 20 minutes of overtime soccer scoreless to finish in a tie.

Beverin made five huge saves in the second half and three more in the final overtime period.  Bone added just one in the remainder of the game.

Ramapo finished the day with 22 shots to their 16 and ten corners to their six.

The Roadrunners return to action on September 18th when they host Old Westbury at 4pm.
