Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College field hockey team defeated Moravian College today in non-conference action 4-1. The Roadrunners now stand at 1-1 overall while the Greyhounds move to 0-2 on the year.

Ramapo scored one goal in the first quarter, two in the second and one in the third while Moravian scored their lone goal in the third quarter. Four different Roadrunners each scored their first goal of 2019 while Kelli Ratkowski scored the first goal of the game for Ramapo in the 6th minute of action off a pass from
Victoria Ewanis. Ramapo was awarded a penalty corner in the 23rd minute of the game as
Emily Glutz slipped the ball past the keeper for the 2-0 lead. Ewanis and Glutz teamed up on a penalty corner in the 24th minute as Ewanis hit the back of the cage for a 3-0 score.

Madison Scott posted Moravian's goal in the 35th minute off a pass from Kylie Mastricola before
Mariah Tovar score the final goal of the game 4-1 and Ewanis earned her second assist in the 44th minute.

Ramapo outshot Moravian 21-7 in the game while they collected 16 penalty corners to the Greyhounds six.
Samantha Stolker recorded four saves for the Roadrunners while Ewanis picked up a defensive save. Ashley Kunsman posted nine saved for Moravian in the game.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 7th when they travel to Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, MD for a game at 3pm.
