Mahwah, NJ: The Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College came back in the second half to defeat Ramapo College 14-13 in non-conference action. STAC, a NCAA Division II program, improved to 6-7 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 6-4 on the season.

STAC scored first in the game with a goal from Kaitlyn Gutenberger off an assist from Gabrielle Di Fusco. The Roadrunners hit the back of the net three straight times as
Shannon Eagan,
Molly Warner and
Beth McGraw all tallied goals for a 3-1 lead. The Spartans posted back-to-back goals from Leanna Iobbi and Gutenberger to tie the game 3-3 before
Nicole Jaskot and Eagan went back-to-back to retake the lead 5-3. Gutenberger scored once again, this time off an assist from Jennifer Farrell before Eagan scored in the final seconds of the half for Ramapo, 6-4.

Ramapo outshot STAC 22-9 in the first half while Spartan goalie tallied eight saves in the first half.

STAC recorded two quick goals to start the second half to tie the game 6-6 before
Ava Rinaldi scored on a free position shot for Ramapo to retake the lead 7-6. STAC then tallied four unanswered goals, including two free position shots, for a 10-7 lead. It was Ramapo who then scored four straight goals of their own, including McGraw's game tying goal 10-10 off a pass from Jaskot. McGraw would hit the back of the net once again, this time off a pass from Rinaldi for an 11-10 lead.

Gutenberger went to work for the Spartans and tallied the team's final four goals of the game including three game-tying goals and the eventual game-winner, 14-13.
Kayla Marino scored off a pass from Davidson to take a 12-11 lead with just under ten minutes left in the game before Gutenberger tied it 12-12. Davidson put Ramapo back on top with a goal off a great pass from Warner, 13-12 before Gutenberger tallied back-to-back unassisted goals as STAC came away with the one goal victory, 14-13.

Ramapo out shot STAC 41-30 in the game.
Alexandra Kerwin recorded ten saves in the game including eight in the second half for the Roadrunners. Eagan scored four goals while she added one assist while Davidson posted two goals and two assists and McGraw posted three goals in the game.

Katie Feigenbaum posted 16 in the game for the Spartans. Gutenberger led all scorers with seven goals while Iobbi and Gabrielle Di Fusco tallied three goals each for STAC.

Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, April 13th when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at 1pm at the Athletic Center Turf Field.
