Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University women's lacrosse team earned a 15-4 NJAC win tonight over Ramapo College. The Red Hawks move to 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 6-8 overall and 0-5 in the NJAC.
Chelsea Orban scored four goals for the Red Hawks while Megan Mahlstadt tallied three and Brittany Costigan added two. Six other Red Hawks scored one goal apiece while Kyle Graver and Casey Provost led MSU with four assists. Amanda Maguire started the game in the net for MSU earning four saves in the first half while Allyn Lilien tallied seven saves in the second half for the Red Hawks.
Nicole Jaskot led the Roadrunners with two goals and one assist in the game for three points while
Shannon Eagan and
Molly Warner also tallied one goal each.
Alexandra Kerwin recorded 11 saves in the net for Ramapo.
MSU took a 10-0 lead in the first half before Ramapo got on the board with a goal from Warner in the 25th minute off a pass from
Gabi Davidson. MSU scored the final goal of the first half and the first three of the second half. Jaskot tallied her two goals in the second half while she assisted on Eagan's goal late in the second half.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, April 28th when they host Rutgers-Camden University in a NJAC game at 1pm at the Athletic Center.
