RAMAPO WRAPS UP SEASON WITH WIN OVER RUTGERS CAMDEN

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team defeated the Scarlet Raptors of Rutgers-Camden, 17-3, today at home in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match-up.  The Roadrunners end their season at 7-8 overall, 1-5 in the NJAC while the Scarlet Raptors fall to 4-11 overall, 0-6 in the NJAC.

The Roadrunners netted ten first half goals taking a 10-2 lead into halftime.  Nicole Jaskot put Ramapo on the board with a goal before Shannon Eagan took a pass from Gabi Davidson to hit the back of the net just a minute and a half later to give Ramapo a quick 2-0 lead.  Davidson then took a free position shot scoring a goal before passing the ball to Beth McGraw tacking on one more for the Roadrunners.  Exactly 30 second later Davidson would then send the ball into the net off a pass from Eagan, 5-0.  The Roadrunners tallied three more goals before Rutgers-Camden scored two back-to-back goals to close the gap, 2-8.  Ramapo would answer back when Kate Klingler would score her second goal of the season before Molly Warner would tally goal number ten for the Roadrunners 21 seconds later.

The second half would look much like the first, the Roadrunners would scatter seven more goals over thirty minutes of play.  Rutgers-Camden would tack on one more goal in the second half.  The highlight of the half came when Liana Chirichiello would score the final goal for the Roadrunners off a free position shot, 17-3, rounding out at least a goal each for Ramapo's six seniors in their final game of their collegiate careers.

Ramapo out shot Rutgers-Camden, 49-15 in the game.  Scarlet Raptors goalie Brittany Watson posted 19 saves in the net while Alexandra Kerwin posted eight for Ramapo.  Davidson led Ramapo netting three goals and dishing out three assists, while Eagan scored three and dished out two assists.
