Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College baseball team won their seventh straight game this afternoon, 13-3 over FDU-Florham in non-conference action. The Roadrunners improve to 20-10 overall while the Devils drop to 11-24 on the year.
Thomas Feehan (1-0) earned his first win of the year on the mound. In six innings of work he struck out three, walked one and scattered four hits while he surrendered one run.
Ramapo got on the board in the bottom of the second inning as they scored four runs.
Kellen Hardy walked with one out before
Matt Carovillano belted a two-run home run for a 2-0 lead.
Kyle Lisa drove home two RBI with a single to left field as
Justin Grippo and
Anthony Kuzmenko each scored, 4-0.
In the top of the third inning, Matt Nodoro laced a double down the right field line allowing Joe Moskowitz to score, 1-4. Ramapo got that run back in the bottom half of the inning. With two outs, Hardy was hit by a pitch before he advanced to third on a misplayed ball in the outfield. He later scored when
Nick Camilleri belted a double into the left-center field gap, 5-1. In the fourth inning, Lisa walked with one out before moving to third base on a single to center field from
Vincent Timpanelli. Lisa then scored on a wild pitch, pushing the score 6-1.
Vincenzo Sita plated two RBI in the sixth inning with a double down the right field line as
Anthony Kuzmenko and Lisa each scored, 8-1.
Derek Romberg came up big with a pinch-hit RBI double in the seventh inning plating Camilleri, 9-1 before Lisa drove home Romberg with a single up the middle 10-1.
FDU added two runs in the top of the eighth inning before Ramapo added three runs in the bottom half of the inning for a 13-3 lead.
Matt Meola drove home Garett Wiedmann with a sac fly to left field before Carovillano double home Sita, 12-3. Camilleri then singled home Carovillano with the final run of the game 13-3.

Sean Kelemen and
Dan Russo each worked one inning in relief for the Roadrunners. Stewart struck out one, walked one and did not let up a hit in the seventh while Kelemen worked the eighth inning. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered four hits and two runs. Russo worked the ninth inning and faced the minimum number of batters as the Roadrunner defense turned a double-play to end the game.
Camilleri finished perfect at the plate 4-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Lisa finished 3-4 with three RBI and two runs scored while Carovillano went 2-5 with three RBI and two runs scored.
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to #4/4 Rowan University for a NJAC game at 3:30pm.
