Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

EAGAN LEADS RAMAPO IN 16-3 ROAD VICTORY

Newburgh, NY:  The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team defeated Mount Saint Mary College, 16-3, today on the road.  The Roadrunners earn their first win of the 2019 season, 1-0 overall, while the Knights fall to 0-2 overall. 
 
The Roadrunners netted six first half goals and took a 6-2 lead into halftime.  Gabi Davidson put Ramapo on the board with a goal assisted by Shannon Eagan before Davidson assisted Molly Warner to give Ramapo a quick 2-0 lead.  With 12:07 left on the clock Eagan collected a pass from Nicole Jaskot and tacked one more on for Ramapo before Courtney Condron put the Knights on the board, 1-3.  Davidson and Eagan both added on their second goal of the game before Condron added her second, 2-5.  Eagan was given a free position shot with just over one-minute left in the half, and scored the final goal of the half, 6-2.     
 
The Roadrunners opened the second half stringing together nine straight goals, Davidson scored back-to-back goals in just over 30 seconds of play.  Caitlin Ernest scored the third goal before Eagan once again took a pass this time from Davidson, scoring the 10th goal of the game for the 10-2 lead.  Warner and Ernest scored the next two goals before Warner scored off a free position shot.  Eagan scored the eighth and ninth goal of the half to give the Roadrunners the 15-2 lead with 5:48 left on the clock.  Jackie Lindsay put one on the board for the Knights off a free position shot before Eagan closed out the game with her seventh goal to give Ramapo the 16-3 victory. 
 
Knights goalie Jackie Finkel posted 13 saves in the net while Grace Monahan posted three.  Alexandra Kerwin posted collected three saves for the Roadrunners.  Eagan led the team with seven goals while Davidson added four.  Warner tallied three and Ernest collected two. 
 
The Roadrunners return to action Saturday, March 9 at 12:00pm when they host Mt. St. Vincent in non-conference action.
