Langhorne, PA: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team traveled to Langhorne, PA today for a tri-match with Cairn University and Lehman College as they posted a 3-0 sweep over Cairn and another sweep over Lehamn to improve to 15-12 overall and 7-3 in the conference.
In their first match of the day the Roadrunners swept Cairn, 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-22) behind 11 kills from Eric Van Thuyne. He collected just five errors on 25 attempts hitting .240 in the win. Stephen Codispodo recorded nine kills and Conor Charlow added eight as the team went 39-83 with 12 errors hitting .325. Josh Titus dished out 29 assists and Tyler Plitt picked up a team leading eight digs. Van Thuyne and Charlow led with 12 points each.
For Cairn, Anton Deleon led the offensive attack with nine kills and Ryan Ludvik added eight as the team went 27-82 with 21 errors hitting .073. Jon Simpson and Ludvik assisted on 14 and 11 points respectively while the defense was led by Juston Wolgemuth with seven digs.
The Roadrunners wrapped up the day with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-11, 25-19) sweep over Lehman College. Mack Brower led the offensive game with nine kills on 12 attempts with just one hitting error hitting .667 while Tanner Depuyt added six kills and Sean Nieves and Andrew Finnegan each added five. The team went 35-64 with 14 errors hitting .328. Lucas Inglis dished out 28 assists and Terrance Cando led with seven digs. Finnegan led with nine total points.
For Lehman, Will Eschenbach and George Montilla each collected six kills in the loss as the team hit 12-64 with 21 errors hitting -.141. Jayson Rodriguez assisted on 12 points and Eschenbach collected seven digs.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, April 5th for a tri-match with Juniata and UC Santa Cruz at home at 4pm and 8pm respectively.
