Auburndale, FL: The Ramapo College baseball team blanked Albright College 6-0 today at the Russ Matt Invitational. The Roadrunners move to 4-3 overall while the Lions fall to 3-8 on the year.

Ramapo scored two runs in the second inning for a quick 2-0 lead.
Vincent Timpanelli and
Vincenzo Sita led off the inning with back-to-back singles before they moved up one base on an infield groundout.
Jake Gursaly then pushed home Timpanelli with the first run on a groundout before
Matt Carovillano laced a single to center field plating Sita, 2-0.

In the fifth inning,
Nick Cuba walked, stole second and scored on Timpanelli's hard hit single through the left side of the infield for a 3-0 lead. The Roadrunners tacked on three more runs in the sixth to extend the score 6-0. With one out Carovillano singled and later stole second base with two outs. Cuba beat out an infield single which put runners on first and third before
Kyle Lisa drove home Carovillano with a double to left field.
Justin Grippo entered the game as a pinch runner for Cuba before
Nick Camilleri laced a double into the left-center field gap, plating both runs for the 6-0 lead.

Ramapo starting pitcher
Tyler Lombardo (1-0) sent the Lions down in order in the sixth and seventh innings and earned the win for Ramapo. He struck out five, walked one and scattered just two Lion hits over seven innings of work.
Billy Keane worked the eighth sending the Albright offense down in order while
Sean Kelemen pitched the ninth for Ramapo. Kelemen struck out one, walked one and surrendered just one hit. The Roadrunners belted out ten hits including two doubles. Camilleri, Timpanelli and Carovillano each collected two hits each in the game.

For Albright, Ryan Kalinich (0-1) took the loss, he struck out three, walked one and surrendered six hits and three runs.

The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow morning at 10am when they take on Ripon College at Lake Myrtle Baseball Complex field #5.
