Kissimmee, FL:  The Ramapo College baseball team split a pair of games against McDaniel College today.  Ramapo took game one 10-4 while the Green Terror won game two 8-3.  The Roadrunners now stand at 2-2 overall while McDaniel stands at 5-5.  Senior Greg Westhelle broke the program's all-time pitching appearance record today with his 58th career appearance in the sixth inning of game two.

Game one:
Kyle Buser led the Roadrunners hitting 2-4 with a run scored and earning two RBI.  Nick Cuba went 1-2, walking twice, with two runs scored and one RBI while Anthony Kuzmenko went 2-3 with two runs scored and an RBI.

McDaniel tacked on one run in the top of the first inning before Ramapo jumped ahead plating two in the bottom of the first.  Cuba and Kuzmenko both walked to lead off the inning, both advanced a base on a pass ball.  With Vincenzo Sita up to bat Cuba crossed the plate on a pass ball and Kuzmenko advanced to third.  Sita walked to put runners on first and third before Camilleri lifted a sac fly to center field allowing Kuzmenko to cross the plate, 2-1.

In the second inning, McDaniel answered back plating three more runs off four hits and one error, taking the lead 4-2.  In the bottom of the sixth inning the Roadrunners broke open the game plating eight runs off six hits.  Vincent Timpanelli hit a single down the right field line before advancing to second on a pass ball.  Kyle Lisa got up next and drove the ball up the middle advancing Timpanelli to third before Cuba hit the ball to right field allowing Timpanelli to cross the plate.  Kuzmenko would step up to the plate and send the ball to left field allowing Lisa to score, tying the game at 4.  Sita reached on an error before Buser would get up to bat with the bases loaded and hit a single up the middle sending Cuba and Kuzmenko across home plate.  Jake Gursaly was hit by a pitch which allowed Sita to score before Derek Romberg hit a bases clearing double to earn a three RBI.  Buser and Camilleri each scored, both walked earlier in the inning while Gursaly touched home plate for the 10-4 score.

Ramapo held the Green Terror in the top of the seventh to earn the victory.  Kevin Stewart pitched five innings striking out seven, walking one, and scattering seven hits.  Riley Weis would earn the win (1-0) in relief. He pitched the final two innings, striking out one and giving up two hits.
