Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned a split today in the final regular season tri-match of the year. The Roadrunners fell in five sets to the United States Merchant Marine Academy before defeating Lehman College. The Roadrunners now stand at 13-6 overall.

Karina Almeda recorded her 1,000th career dig in the first match of the day against USMMA. Almeda, a three-year player, now has 1,038 career digs which is 4th all-time in program history while she is just the 5th Roadrunner to eclipse the 1,000-dig mark.

Kate Shirkey would tally her 2,000th career assist in the second match against Lehman. Shirkey now has 2,012 assists in her career which is 4th all-time in program history while she is also the 4th Roadrunner to eclipse that 2,000-assist mark.

In a tough 3-2 (15-25, 25-17, 16-25, 25-19, 15-10) loss to USMMA, the Roadrunners had three players record double-digit kills.
Morgan Ridgway led the team with 15 kills while
Hannah Frascella and
Felicia Jimenez each collected ten. Shirkey dished out 23 assists while
Juliana Paslawsky posted 17 of her own. On defense, Almeda tallied 24 digs to lead the way while Ridgway posted 14 as well. Frascella and
Samantha Main led the team with six blocks each while
Caleigh Golabek posted three kills, three aces and three blocks in the match. Ramapo hit .229 in the match with 45 kills on 131 attempts and just 15 errors.

USMMA relied on Paige Smith who recorded 19 kills while Taylor Glibertson added 15 and Shelby Bowman posted ten. Brittney Pinzon collected a team high 26 assists while Nicole Ibinson posted 19 digs on defense. The team hit .170 in the match with 56 kills on 153 attempts and 30 errors.

Against Lehman, where Ramapo won 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-13), the team hit .319 overall with 39 kills on 94 attempts and just nine errors. Frascella led the way with 11 kills as she hit .455 in the match. Ridway tallied nine kills as she hit .529 overall. Shirkey tallied 22 assists while Paslawsky posted another 12 of her own. Almeda led the team with 22 digs while Ridgway collected 11. Shirkey, Ridgway and
Stephanie Ross each collected three aces in the match.

Lehman posted 14 total kills in the match while Heder Rodriguez dished out a team high 11 assists. Ariana Pradieu posted a team high four aces while Yari Peguero collected a team high 15 digs.
