Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team improved to 9-1 overall with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-4, 25-17) non-conference win over Saint Joseph's College – Brooklyn today in non-conference action. The Bears now stand at 4-5 on the year.
Ramapo's
Morgan Ridgway led the team with 12 kills as she hit .312 in the match while she also collected two aces, one solo block and five digs.
Caleigh Golabek tallied seven kills while also hitting .312 in the match. Golabek tallied one solo block and one assisted block along with one assist.
Kate Shirkey led the team with 20 assists while she posted eight digs.
Karina Almeda collected a team high 19 digs in the match to lead the Roadrunners on defense. The team hit .284 in the match with 41 total kills on 102 attempts.
The Bears posted eight total kills in the match as a team while Kaitlyn Intindola posted a team high seven assists and two aces. Carol Melo and Valentina Urgo each collected a team high ten digs on defense.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 8th when they travel to NJAC rival Montclair State University for a conference match at 7pm.
