RAMAPO SUFFERS FIRST LOSS OF THE SEASON AT STOCKTON

Galloway, NJ:  The Stockton University men's soccer team handed Ramapo College their first loss of the season 4-0 today in NJAC action. The Ospreys moved to 8-2-2 overall, 2-1-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 7-1-4 overall, 2-1-1 in the NJAC.
 
Stockton scored all four of their goals in the first half as they held the Ramapo offense to just one shot on goal in the game. Christian Bik scored the eventual game-winner in the 7th minute (6:52) for the 1-0 score before Michael Echeverria took a pass from Ervin Gjeli in the 15th minute (14:04) for the 2-0 lead. John Maxted tallied two insurance goals for Stockton. He hit the back of the net off a breakaway (20:02) while he added the Osprey's final goal of the game in the 25th minute (24:16) off a pass from Larry Abanilla. In the first half, Stockton tallied eight shots while Ramapo posted three. Ramapo posted eight shots in the second half while Stockton recorded just two.
 
Dino Gromitsaris collected one save for Stockton in the game while Joshua Schaffer posted six saves for the Roadrunners in goal. Stockton held a slight advantage in shots 11-9 for the game while Ramapo collected nine corners to the Osprey's four.  
 
Ramapo will return to action on Saturday, October 12th when they host NJAC rival Montclair State University at the Athletic Center turf field at 1pm.
