Wayne, NJ: The William Paterson University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 6-0 tonight in NJAC action in the final conference game of the season. The Pioneers improve to 8-7-2 overall, 4-4-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-10-2 overall. 0-7-2 in the conference.
WPU would score three goals in each half. Daniella LoBue collected her first goal of the year off a pass from Corrinee Bowe just 59 seconds into the game for a 1-0 lead for the Pioneers. Marisa Adelman collected her 12th goal of the season in the 30th minute (29:36) as Kristen Bowe tallied the assist for a 2-0 lead. C. Bowe tallied her fourth goal of the year off a pass from Adelman to take a 3-0 lead in the 37th minute (36:21).
In the second half, Lorraine Moffitt scored on penalty kick (51:35) while Abbey Kampmeyer and Samantha Persaud scored goals in the 64th and 74th minute respectively to extend the lead to 6-0.
Elizabeth Harvell collected eight saves for the Roadrunners while Erica Hickey posted three for WPU. The Pioneers held a 16-10 advantage in shots in the game while WPU held an 8-5 margin in corner kicks.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, November 1st when they host the University of Maine at Fort Kent at the Athletic Center at 3pm.
