Glassboro, NJ: The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 7-0 today in NJAC action. The Profs improve to 9-6-1 overall, 4-3-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-9-2 overall, 0-6-2 in the conference.
The Profs went up 2-0 in the first half before adding five goals in the second. Daria Jones scored early for Rowan (1:19) off a pass from Arianna Durling before she added the second goal of the game off a pass from Aidan Sheehan in the 19th minute of action (18:35).
Five different Profs scored in the second half with goals from Dominique Marrone (47:06), Sheehan (49:20), Casey Lubonski (51:54), Abby Daigle (58:01) and Kelsey Holt (73:02). Rowan outshot Ramapo 23-1 in the game while they held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks.
Elizabeth Harvell tallied eight saves in the net for Ramapo in the first 56 minutes of the game while
Alexandra Kerwin tallied two saves in the final 35 minutes of action. For Rowan, Bristol Pizzuto, Alessia LaRosa and Amanda Leber all split time in the net during the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 30th when they travel to NJAC rival William Paterson University for a 7pm game.
