Union, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's soccer team shutout NJAC rival Kean University on the road 1-0 tonight as the Roadrunners moved into first place in the conference. Ramapo improves to 9-1-5 overall, 4-1-2 in the NJAC while the Cougars now stand at 9-5-2 overall and 3-2-2 in the conference.
 
Senior Joseph Fala put the Roadrunners up 1-0 with his team leading 11th goal of the season. Thiago Stallhbaum would send a pass through to Fala who slotted the ball past the Kean keeper to put Ramapo on the board in the 30th minute (29:21) of action. The first half was evenly matched as Ramapo held a 4-3 advantage in shots.
 
A physical game continued into the second half while the Ramapo defense held off a push from Kean. The Cougars recorded seven shots in the second half while only two were on goal. Ramapo collected seven shots in the game while they held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Roadrunners earned their fifth shutout of the season and Joshua Schaffer recorded four saves in the game.  Dillon Konzelmann recorded two saves for Kean in goal.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 26th when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at the Athletic Center at 1pm. Ramapo will be honoring their senior class in a pre-game ceremony.
