Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team won a key NJAC match against Rutgers-Camden University 3-1 (25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 25-16) tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners improve to 10-4 overall and 3-4 in the conference while the Scarlet Raptors now stand at 12-13 overall and 1-6 in the conference.
Morgan Ridway posted a single-match career high with 19 kills as she hit .366 in the match. She also posted two assists, 15 digs and one block.
Hannah Frascella added 13 kills while
Felicia Jimenez tallied nine kills of her own.
Kate Shirkey dished out a team high 20 assists while she posted three aces and nine digs.
Kristina Semple led the team with six aces while she posted four digs and one assist.
Karina Almeda posted a match-high 28 digs while she also recorded seven assists and one ace.
Samantha Main posted two blocks and she also collected two kills and one dig during the match while
Caleigh Golabek recorded a team high three blocks. Ramapo recorded 55 kills in the match while posting six team blocks.
The Scarlet Raptors were led by Morgan Mulligan who tallied ten kills and 19 digs while Jamie Mulligan and Jordan Erskine each posted nine kills during the match. Erskine and Tatijana Liedman recorded a match-high four blocks each and Morgan Fox led the way with 18 digs on defense. Brinn Hassan dished out a team high 14 assists while Savannah Hayes tallied a team best four aces and 11 digs on defense. The team recorded 32 total kills in the match.
The Roadrunners return to action when they host Brooklyn College and York College (NY) in a tri-match this Saturday, October 26th. Ramapo takes on Brooklyn at 10am and York at 2pm.
