Chester, PA: The Ramapo College men's swim team snapped Widener University's six dual meet win streak with a 134-128 victory on the road. The Roadrunners improve to 3-5 overall while the Pride now stand at 7-5 on the year.
Ramapo started off the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay when they clocked in at 1:40.48. The team was made up of
Josh Templeton,
Sam Cossaboon,
Julian Giglio and
Alex Barszcz. Cossaboon won the 100-yard breaststroke as he out-touched the Pride with a time of 1:02.10 while
Sean Flannery placed third in 1:02.31.
Tomer Bachar won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:01.98 while
Nicholas Markwell clocked in at 2:04.06 for a second-place finish. Templeton won the 500-yard freestyle to earn nine points for the Roadrunners when he clocked in at 5:07.85.
Aviad Mana grabbed a first-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly over four seconds ahead of the competition as he clocked in at 2:00.01. In the 50-yard freestyle, Barszcz (23.08),
Matt Liedtka (23.13) and
Benjamin Kern (23.36) went 2-3-4 to earn points for the Roadrunners. Templeton and Barszcz went 1-2 in the 100-yard freestyle with times of 48.35 and 50.32 respectively.
Noah Callahan, Markwell and Flannery went 2-3-4 in the 200-yard IM with times of 2:05.54, 2:06.46 and 2:07.30 respectively.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, January 29th when they travel to William Paterson University for the final NJAC meet of the season at 6pm.
