Montclair, NJ: The Montclair State University men's swim team defeated Ramapo College 143-114 in NJAC action today at Panzer Athletic Pool. The Red Hawks improve to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Josh Templeton won the 200-yard freestyle as he out touched the Red Hawks with a time of 1:45.70.
Benjamin Kern placed third in the same event with a time of 1:56.15.
Sean Flannery and
Sam Cossaboon went 2-3 respectively in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:01.42 and 1:03.15. In the 200-yard butterfly,
Aviad Mana placed second with a time of 2:00.45 while Templeton placed second in the 100-yard freestyle, he finished in 49.27 while the Red Hawk swimmer clocked in at 48.36.

The men's 200-yard medley relay team placed 2nd overall with a time of 1:40.17. The team was made up of
Nicholas Markwell, Cossaboon,
Julian Giglio and Templeton.
Tomer Bachar finished in second place in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.55) while the MSU swimmer who placed first finished in 2:03.28. Flannery posted a time of 2:17.58 in the 200-yard breaststroke for a second-place finish while Mana (54.38), Giglio (55.12) and
Alex Barszcz (57.00) finished 2-3-4 in the 100-yard butterfly.

The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, January 26th when they travel to Widener University for a non-conference meet at 1pm.
